Hi, my name is April and I am reporting for NewsHub. Right now I am at Forrest Hill School down with the Arataki team. Everyone was finishing up with their brainfood and getting ready for their maths rotation.  Now that everyone was inside everyone was either holding nothing, a chromebook or maths book and pen. I’ve heard that the Arataki team was split into five groups and that they have this rotation thing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. And it seems that they have this timetable thing that tells them where to go and what they are supposed to do on the maths rotation days. The year sixes seem to be doing either Independent activity, seeing Whaea Sam,  Matua J or Whaea Nat. Some students were feeling excited, nervous or even stressed. Now I think everyone is pretty used to the maths rotation. Dear my lovely parents You may be thinking how I have been doing at forest hill school in the last 7 weeks after lockdown. I have done a lot! I challenged myself by writing a blog post every week and debating about a Would You Rather every week. Most of all, a big challenge for me was when I was making a catapult with a spoon, a small pom pom, popsicle sticks and some rubber bands. I have connected myself by helping my friends with ideas and math that is hard and also I have been helping the environment by not using much soft plastics. I have respected my friends by not arguing with them and getting them their books and a pencil each. Now I ask you parents-how have you challenged,connected and respected yourself and the world around you?

My aim was to get the Google draw badge. I did not  achieve my aim. My main barriers were It was a bit hard to draw my name. It was a bit tricky to get all the eyes and all.  My main thing I have learnt for doing this challenge is I have learnt how to Draw on Google draw.   Example:

I have been doing Minecraft skin making. I have made lots of skins. My goal was to make lots of skins in good quality and I think I achieved it. It was pretty tricky making Minecraft skins with lots of details. It's quite hard getting ideas for skins. I have been trying my best. Some skins are made from scratch and some I have copied a little bit. I think I did very well at doing my project and I am going to do Minecraft skins more. 

This is my coding project. it is a concert with Donut, Water, Duck and a unseen mafia. They are doing the worlds biggest concert( and one of the worst too.) they also sing about depressing songs, loud songs, many stage dives and lots and lots of surprises. We also have one of the best songs on earth rated at No1 on the hot billboard chart 2020.  This is a joke but the water sings about its depressing life and it cries but it has no room to cry because it is a water glass. I achieved my aim of a food concert that goes horribly wrong and being attacked by a mafia. I also did it by the time and I am used to code with scratch. the main thing I learned is how to be a better coder at scratch and useful tips if it doesn't work.  Press a, space, green flag, up arrow and left arrow and down arrow.
